BACKGROUND
TYE has always been at the forefront of innovation. For over 30 years, they’ve been the architects of bespoke electrical equipment, blending precision with unparalleled customer value. Now, they’ve elevated their commitment with the launch of Power of the Factory, a ground-breaking platform that puts the power of customisation directly into their clients’ hands.
This platform isn’t just a tool—it’s a new way of thinking. With virtual access to the factory, clients can tailor their products in real time, ensuring projects stay on track and on budget, without compromising on quality or precision.
TYE’s meticulous attention to user experience is evident in every detail of this platform. Their internal team spent years testing and refining the UX to ensure it is as intuitive as it is powerful. But when it came time to translate this functionality into a cohesive design, they turned to us.
The foundation for this digital leap was laid in 2020 when we reimagined TYE’s brand identity. We crafted a dynamic and futuristic visual language that continues to evolve with the brand. Central to this identity is the Exponent symbol, which reinterprets the lightning bolt from TYE’s original logo. By deconstructing the bolt, magnifying the inner triangles, and inverting them, we created a spark—symbolising the harmonious chemistry between TYE and its clients. The colour palette, with deep blue representing the sky and bright blue capturing the energy of lightning, imbues the brand with a sense of power and forward momentum.
Our mission was clear: design a visually appealing and on-brand user interface that enhanced the user’s engagement while heightening the intuitive experience. We leveraged their iconic brand elements—the Exponent symbol and gradients of the brand colours—to create an immersive digital environment that echoes the experience of being in the factory.
We built upon TYE’s deep knowledge of their customers to streamline user interactions. This can be seen throughout the platform, particularly the dashboard which provides a convenient overview of key information. We introduced a new navigation system with a search bar and side navigation to improve accessibility. The platform’s language was also refined to mirror the brand’s voice offering users guidance and helping them connect more deeply with the brand.
The result is more than a platform. Power of the Factory is a paradigm shift—a bold new chapter in how electrical products are conceived, created, and delivered.
